It was another gorgeous day yesterday - t-shirts only. Well, plus trousers of course! When I uploaded the above picture to my computer, it immediately made me think of the very happy song “Mr Blue Sky” by ELO:

A very 1970s video that one, on which the band actually appear to be playing, but it is clearly the studio recording we can hear. Musht be shome mishtake surely? Lovely guitar solo, whatever else.

Wonderful feel good tune which I think is rather Beatle-esque

  It doesn't remind me of The Beatles at all. It has quite a different feel about the melodies, the lyrics and the instrumentation and is more of a rock song than the pop songs the scouse 4 did. The harmony vocals are similar in places, but that goes back before The Beatles to 1950s doo-wop (which is where TB got it from of course).
  
  Musically Mr Blue Sky is mostly fairly straight mid-70s light rock music, but I can hear the influence of Disco on it in the very rhythmic drums and in the string arrangements.

Gorgeous day as well here yesterday...not so good today, but trying to brighten up and there's blue skies again now amongst the light clouds...still not Spring temperatures though...great big hugs..

  It's not quite so sunny today, but it's still lovely and warm t-shirt weather again. The forecast isn't good for the next few days though...
