Scientists, what do they know!

by SeasideMan @ 09/07/08 - 11:15:55

front

back

The two piccies above were both taken at about 10PM last night, one from the front (sea side) of the house and one from the back (land side). They very clearly show the red sky at night which boffin scientists tell us should guarantee us a nice shepherd’s delight day today. And this is today:

rain

Have you ever met a rain-loving sheep?  Imagine strapping a heavy bale of cotton wool to your back and head, go out into the rain and see how YOU like it. We have 10 pet sheep, and my main man Dougie absolutely detests the rain. He'd always be the one sheep on his own in the shed when it was raining.

Shepherd’s have similar aversions.

So the next time some scientist tries to tell you something, ask them about the sheep.

Cheers, Tom.

i'm no expert but i reckon they don't count as red skies.
so i'll stay loyal to the boffins (though my sympathies are entirely with dougie!)

have a good day.

I suppose they are a teensy-weensy bit orange. Perhaps my research will have to continue!

Yeah, sorry I'm with Kevin on this one- it has to be properly red like the sunset one i put up recently! Truet me, the day after I took that one was glorious ;)

but the poor sheep!! Feel for Dougie, maybe they should have anoraks?

Sheep anoraks is a wonderful idea :-)

There's a fortune to be made!

The sheep that I count when trying to get to sleep don't like rain either, they like to run round in circles taking turns to jump over a fence:)

May we see some photos of your ovine chums - or are they camera-shy?

Aww - I want one! We have a cat called Betty, and at one time I fostered three donkeys called Millie, Doris and Lucy!

They make lovely pets, as long as they get regular human attention from birth. Most of those we bottle-fed, so they are very friendly and will always remain so.

Aww loving your sheepy crowd! Dougie sounds like a wise bunny(I mean sheep)staying in the shed. i can impagine him shaking his head while the others frolic in the rain! :))

Haha, yes, he would do that! he's the oldest, and probably the wisest, of the lot of them.
