Strange Sky

Helen and I thought we’d have a wander to our local pub last night and luckily I remembered to take along my camera. The sky looked really quite peculiar, as I hope the above 2 pictures show. They were taken about 100 metres and about 5 minutes apart.

I think the front of a weather system must have been just passing over us.

I had some rather nice bitter called Butty Back.

Cheers, Tom.

I have heard that term before. You are probably right, Dolly. Did I mention that I have a sheep called Dolly?

Actually, I just realised I was talking nonsense. The sheep is actually called Doris, not Dolly.

Sorry, Dolly...

Now you mention it, it does look a bit painted, doesn't it.

Clearly illustrating that no two clouds look the same.

Very true, that. These were totally unlike any I've seen before.

Evening Tom,

I read somewhere that if you look at the clouds, you can make out an image and I think this is believed to be a 'sign' for the person seeing it.... Have I interpreted that correctly?

I see a large leaf in picture two! What does that mean then?

Great pic’s ;-)

I can see the leaf you mean. I think that probably means that you will be turning over a new leaf and everything will be successful for you from now on :-)

:-) I certainly feel a lot more positive and working my way through 'decluttering' at work and home... I feel you may have it there Tom...Thank you for your comment

Decluttering makes a huge difference. Everything seems easier once the clutter has gone, and you'll get much more done. Good luck with finishing it off.

Amazing pics! And the beer sounds good too! Real ale I presume?

Yes indeedy, real ale. It's the only sort I like any more. If a pub doesn't have any proper ale, I'd rather have a lager or cider instead.

Yep, I'm with you on that. And quality against quantity any day. I'd rather have a couple of pints of good real ale (Sneck Lifter or Hobgoblin at present) than copious amounts of lager.

Am quite partial to Perry at the moment!

Hobgoblin is great, Sneck Lifter is one I haven't heard of.

Perry is nice too, I agree, and my local shop stocks it as well which is rather surprising.

Perry seems to be getting more popular. Even our local shop stocks it.

Sneck Lifter has quite a caramelly-toffee taste to it.

I'm on the verge of joining CAMRA. I have a mate who is a member and am really tempted to get involved myself

I was a member years ago, but I lapsed. I probably should join again, as it's only enthusiasts like them that have prevented decent beer from being completely wiped out by nasty Eurolagers and the like.

I was amazed at what they get involved in. I thought it was just an excuse to get together and drink beer. But they do quite a lot to keep pubs open that are threatened with closure and ensuring new estates get a pub too!

Yup, I know I should join again. I have a friend who is incredibly serious about them. I didn't know about the new pub thing, that's interesting.

We get some stunning views here, we really do. All that sea moisture in the air...
