I Don’t Think You’re Ready For This Jelly

Weird looking things, aren’t they? The above two pictures are very close up, the whole thing is below. Would you have known the top 2 pics were of a jellyfish if you hadn’t been told? These get washed up by the thousand sometimes, but today I only saw this one. They only have a very mild sting, thankfully.

About 10cm across, assuming you mean the jellyfish. I saw one a few days ago that was about 30cm.

That third picture looks a bit like Mrs Thatchescu.

Haha, cruel but fair! It does look a bit like the evil harridan's hair, I agree.

They really are queer looking creatures. I have pictures of several different types now and I really should collate them properly at some point.

Rather fascinating .
In my former flat there was a gap in the floor to the left of the toilet in which formed a weird sort of gelatine-esque formation , somewhat resembling a shoe .

Brilliant pics.

I love jellyfish, they are like the nuclear missiles of the sea.

Well done Big-T

I agree, there's stuff in the sea we don't know about and probably never will...

We seem obsessed with exploring space when we have our own "Final Frontier" down here on Earth!

Very true. I think more people have been into space than have been to the bottom of the deepest part of the ocean!

That brings back some horrible memories.
I think I was 8 or 9 and my mum took me to the ocean and I was looking forward to take a swim.
That lasted for about 5 minutes, then I was attacked (that's how it felt anyway :>>) by these disgusting creatures. They were everywhere!
Took me some time to get over that terrifying experience.
I don't know if I'm still over it really ;)
