I wasn’t going to post this picture because I thought it looked fake, but antlady encouraged me yesterday. Helen shouted to me “Tom, it’s really yellow outside” and sure enough it was. The picture is an accurate representation of what it really looked like and is completely untouched and uncropped. Even after 8 months here, the different colours still startle me on occasion.

It’s rather curious to look back now and remember that the great DJ John Peel said when Donovan came out that he was “a more important artist than Bob Dylan”. I wonder if he ever regretted saying that?

John Paul Jones (later of Led Zeppelin)  plays the bass on the studio version of this song.
