A Good Time Was Had By All

Our weekend visitors have now left. Connor, Josh and Shaun set off back to Lincolnshire about an hour ago. Everyone had a great time, and we even had some good weather for it. Running up and down the huge sand dunes was great fun, not that I did it - someone had to document the event after all! Taking the dinghie out in huge waves was also great fun, although I think it did come as a surprise when it flipped over. Wet clothes: not a problem.

  Very much yes indeed! I still can't believe how many times those kids ran up that huge sand dune and rolled back down again though. I don't think I ever had that much energy!

  No we haven't, but I have seen dead ones that were massive and easily large enough to eat, of the right type. I'm vegetarian anyway though.

        No worries. I do wear thick jumpers in winter, but they are very tasteful ones. I tell you, if you lived here, you'd wear thick jumpers in winter too!

        I was a student in Edinburgh for four years and lived for nine months in Iceland. Thick knitware and I are old friends.

Looks like a fun weekend was had by all! What a shame the weather wasn't a little kinder but hey, at least you got out and about.

  Lots of small ones, but on this occasion no big ones. I found an absolute whopper once though: the shell was about 6 inches long and with the claws as well the size was intimidating!

  It was Seriously steep! I couldn't believe how they kept running up and then either running or rolling back down again. I'd have been exhausted after doing it once.

Great stuff
The weather has not been too bad and as you promised, the sun did come out yesterday

The Barmouth ambulance charity event raised £425 this year, although spent indoors, the atmosphere was good. Not a bad weekend all round!
