That bottom one is the best of a series similar ones I took, back when the weather was good.

-
- 27/08/08 @ 11:08:22
Thanks. It's a petrified tree stump in a tide pool.

Very inspiring Tom.
Very inspiring. It makes one appreciate the beauty of nature despite the appalling weather (sorry to bang on about that yet again).-
- 27/08/08 @ 13:20:21
I'm afraid all of those pictures are at least a few weeks old, but they are hopefully a reminder of how nature will be again in the near future. Well, October if the long-range forecasts are right:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/ukweather/monthly_outlook.shtml
http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=longrange;sess=
September is forecast to be colder but relatively dry and October warm but a little more rainy. November will be colder and rainier!

No 1 is brilliant. Is this one of those petrified trees that seem to be everywhere on the Welsh coast?
No 2!!! Oh I love number 2 sooo much, it really does have a great feel about it!-
- 27/08/08 @ 19:29:44
Thank you. Yes, No. 1 is a petrified tree stump in a tide-pool. It's approx. 3500 years old.

I saw a very interesting programme about these trees. It was just amazing and so very interesting. We really don't know or even appreciate what is out there do we!
-
- 27/08/08 @ 22:30:23
I agree, there is a great deal of nature out there to be appreciated, if only we had the time and energy to do it.
There was a segment of the programme Coast that dealt with the petrified trees. Was that the one you saw, or was it something else?

Love the beautiful richness of the colours in the beach photo - the lines and the warmth make for a complex range of emotions.

Fabulous photos Tom. The first one is really splendid and as good as a professional photographers IMHO. Really love the one of the dog (Dan?), he looks regal lol.
Hugs, Kelly-

Thanks Kelly, much appreciated. I'm pleased with those two you mention. Dan is sat at my feet right now too - I just patted him on the head for you.

But my favourites are your dog and the reflections on the car - brilliant ideas!!

Thanks, I was just walking past the car and thought I'd try that. The top one is probably the best picture, I think.

Does that mean predictable, obvious? I've never read AP, so I don't know what that means.
Thanks, Tom.-
