I wonder what was being said by the people in this picture. Was the child being urged to pick up the ball? Had he just been hit on the head by it and the parents/guardians were rushing in to give assistance and comfort? Is he being applauded for something by the man on the right…if so, what is the woman on the left doing? How am I sure of the genders? So many questions.
What do you think was going on?

Pro Good thought, you could be right. That possibility hadn't occurred to me. I like photographs in which it's tricky to work out what has happened or is happening.

I am just relying on my experience during some moments like above when my kids were little and we came together like that. I could be wrong...

Not too sure about the composition of this shot, the figures are a little too central and I think it could be improved by a little cropping so that the figures are moved lower in the frame.
