We do love a day trip to the coast with the dog and this year so far we have not had the weather. Honestly we are all going mad at not getting to the sea....

Typically, it's expected to be lovely for the rest of this week. I hope you manage the trip at some point because it isn't too late yet.

That stick is enormous! I can feel the effort involved in carrying that back to shore!

It certainly gave him some good exercise, fetching that back about 100 times :-)

The sea's far too cold in Britain to swim in...HLOL...I'd come out an icicle...that's what I mean by hardy Brits...give me warm Mediterranean seas any day...GBHs..XXX

I don't think Helen or I are particularly hardy, just determined to enjoy ourselves. I know the cold doesn't agree with you at all...

That's also very British...the bulldog spirit heh...remember seeing pictures of the fifties with families sitting on beaches in Britain surrounded by wind breaks and clouds in the sky...or rain...
And some with knotted handkerchiefs on their heads to keep off the sun or a newspaper folded up to form a pyramid...HLOL...damn, British men were so sexy...GBHs...XXX-
- 21/09/08 @ 23:16:40
True, this is a very British attitude. If it rained on the beach in Italy, they'd all be back in their cars in seconds!
Did people really ever wear those knotted hankies? It seems almost unbelievable now...

Beautiful pictures! I love the second one, you must have got down low for that one? I wish my dogs would swim, but they are too lazy. They dig there feet into the shingle when I try and take them down to the water lol.
Hugs xx-

Yup, I laid down on the sand for the second one, and I got covered in wet sand for it! Dan loves a swim, Shep isn't so keen but he'll chase Dan if he goes in.
