Helen and I went for a walk on the bog behind the railway line yesterday in glorious sunshine. The amount of wildlife on display was amazing for later September. The grasses are all flourishing and ready to drop seeds, all sorts of land and sea birds in abundance, butterflies, ladybirds, spiders, and so on. Even a Dragonfly. The long rains throughout August followed by a couple of weeks of heat have turned the speed up on nature and everything is madly growing while it has the chance. Today, overcast and some rain, so maybe it’ll go slow again now.
I think I’ll walk the dogs back there again now!
Cheers, Tom.
