It surprises me how often I see little flower shrines to the dead on the beach. I suspect most of them are left when ashes are scattered, although some might be memorials to dead sailors. Today though, the flowers were strewn up the beach as can be seen in the pictures above (all of which get bigger if you click on them).
I wonder whose death was being commemorated, and I wonder what they would think to the flowers being blown by the wind?
