Brightening Brightening

I've commented on this before, but here we go again. Have you ever noticed how many of the words used to describe people's moods are linked to the weather? Bright, sunny, dull, gloomy, dark, and so on. This link gets reinforced when Michael Fish announces that the it's going to be a "dull, dark, depressing day" on the weather forecast. Stop it Michael, just tell us what it'll be like and get it right this time please!

Anyway, as you can see from the picture, it's greyish now but brightening up nicely. A good day looks to be in prospect. I don't think I'll get many landscape photographs taken for a while though.

Well there is the saying "under the weather" isn't there. I always think it is a very appropriate saying.

  Indeed, and it means under bad weather doesn't it. Perhaps we need 2 new sayings: under bad weather and under good weather.
