I have said several times in the past that I disliked excessive digital manipulation of images. Learning how to use the relevant software is part of my course, so I've dived into it with enthusiasm.
The pictures above are my first 4 manipulated images. I reckon this is acceptable in my photographic world as long as I use effects creatively rather than just using them to tart up a picture that I should have got right "in camera". If I take a technically poor shot that is worth pursuing, I should, if possible, retake the shot. However, if I luckily snap the perfect picture of wee Chloe spilling Ribena all over Granny and it’s spoiled because her face is too dark, a little manipulation to fix it seems reasonable.
I find the range of creative possibilities strangely enticing.
Any opinions on the pictures? Cheers, Tom.

Like you I prefer "true images" and view digital manipulated images as pictures not photos.
I do however like what you've done to the second and fourth shots though I think perhaps the horizon's slightly out on the last one? (sorry but you did ask!)
