They really do. A fine combination of talent and hard graft went into them.

Love the cabinet.
To think all that has been found on a beach and turned into something so beautiful. I am impressed. As Bushka says, serious viewing required.-

Refreshing - and intriguing - an original that's for sure.......

Great - it is for an MA so some originality is required.

I love all the colour and the mystery objects that have been found at the seashore. What a wondeful thing to do! Making art from flotsam. Now it is all beautiful again in a different context.

Helen is very talented. There is a pretty clear environmental message behind these works.

Oh - of course! I hadn't thought of that. I'm a bit dense these days!

I love the last depiction that looks like a microscope and kind of states 'take a look, I may not be here for long.' reading from the comments, it would appear that Helen's ethos is that of green. How very talented of her to create something so beautiful from 'nothing'

There is a strong environmental theme running through her work, and that was the inspiration - seeing all the rubbish ruining such a lovely beach.
Tom.-

I do like her work!

I love her statement piece, the cabinet, and also the collages are intriguing and interesting, I do love collage and something completely original
couldn't be a more important subject than the environment, art should make us think-
- 23/06/09 @ 22:44:40
I'm glad you like them Wendy, I'll tell her. The main pieces were all done using different printmaking techniques based (mostly) on flotsam.

Good idea to use 'found' objects, it makes a profound statement. Interstingly they had jade jagger on Britains beaches, some of the stuff people leave is disgusting, like dirty nappies and glass

Yuk. The amount of stuff Helen collected was quite shocking. The council clear it up at the start of the holiday season, and it's currently quite clear.
Tom.

I love the cabinet and the top picture - I particularly like the indentations of objects in the artwork - what is not there still being seen x
