Thanks Nancy. It's been perfect sunshine for photographing the bees for the last couple of days.

I have always wanted to feel their soft and velvety-looking coat! Those are such wonderful photos and you were very brave, Tom! Captured forever - but the bee is still free! Wonderful isn't it to capture that, and yet not hurt the bee?

I don't think I've ever touched one, now I think about it. It looks like it should be nice to stroke!

I love bees they are my personal good luck charm. When I see one my spirits lift. I like their busy industrious nature.
Beautiful pictures Tom, very professional, great composition as ever.

Bees make a great good luck charm - their industriousness is most inspiring...
Ditto beavers.

We have a couple of escallonias and they've been covered with bees, I've never seen so many...
I hope this indicates an upward trend in the bee population, or are these the imported ones ?-
- 23/06/09 @ 12:40:56
I'm hoping it's a good sign too...

Thanks for the link. These are definitely awesome. Now do you want me to use your "pen name" here, or your real name. If the latter, please send it to me via private email!
