I boldly took my new camera into the water. This one was actually taken under the water:
Pretty green!
These next 3 were all taken looking back towards the shore. In the last one, the land and houses are completely obscured by the wave:
The picture quality from the camera is just OK rather than good, but I am now used to SLR quality so in a sense I'm bound to say that. Here is a shot I took this morning to illustrate:

Pro I think with a bit of practice I could improve on those 3rd and 4th ones. I like being able to get the camera just above the water like that, but it makes focussing difficult - the camera wants to focus on the water.

Pro oooh, the sea ones made me feel really chilly...HLOL...British waters never warm up properly...very brave of you, but you should be pleased your camera does work under and around a lot of water!... GBHs...XXX

Pro Tom!! That's makes no difference...you could catch pneumonia on top of having a serious chest infection if you get thoroughly chilled...dear, dear...I won't say anything else...GBHs...XXX

Pro I think the pics are great, you are comparing them to the SLR and they won't ever be that good but they are fantastic nonetheless if you take that out of the equation. Was the camera expensive?

Pro It was a little over £200. Quite reasonable for what it is, really.
