A Happy Bunny

I have a job to go to tomorrow for just the day. I'm taking photographs for a local college for their sustainability initiative. So, photographs of tin cans being recycled, electrical equipment being turned off, paper being printed on both sides, that sort of thing. Not particularly exciting, but that's the way with most paying photographic work. Most of the time will be spent rounding up lecturers and students to model for me, and getting all the things in the pictures that they want.

Today, I'll need to charge my main battery and my spare, clean my lenses and check my equipment.

That's Johnny in the picture. He's quite an old man now, but still quite sprightly.

That is great that you have a job tomorrow! Good luck! Tell us about your experiences. Johny has lots of luck, that he lives by vegetarians, smile. Lovely rabbit. I had a rabbit many years ago, he was lovely. A friend of mine has two bunnies.

  You are right, Johnny gets loads of lovely vegetable scraps to eat in addition to his scrummy rabbit food :-)

      You're right, he certainly won't be eaten! I think he's probably about 6 now.

        That is good. I have never eaten rabbits, deer, dugs and wild pig in my life (venison yesterday). I was 16 years a vegetarian, now I am eating pork, chicken and bacon, but not very often. 6 is a great age for a bunny!

        That is a high age! Wow! That is good, to eat animals is a .. Sometimes I am thinking about to be a vegetarian, it is a better life.

        Our Clover and Snowdrop were, respectively, 13 and 14 when they went to the big hutch in the sky. Congrats on the gig tomorrow - triffic news!

Good for you Tom, Its the same for any photographic job though a few minutes doing the pictures and loads of time hanging around waiting for people to turn up and moving folks about.

Yay! I am so chuffed for you Tom, that kind of thing usually leads to other things and ..... before you know it the world is your lobster (I know it's oyster but lobsters look more interesting with more pichy personality lol!)

Johnny looks very cuddleable, weve had some rather uncuddleable bunnies in the past, Bear the little dwarf lop (who are supposed to be the most placid of bunny breads) would have your hand off in seconds if you invaded his terratory, there was only me who could calm him down. Onyx, she was my babes but if she didnt want fussing she would growl at you to let you know. Puddin is very cuddly but just way too big for the kids to pick up and cuddle these days, malting like mad too.

  In my experience, the smaller the bunny the more bad tempered it is! Johnny is a bit aloof but he does like a stroke. We used to have a Dutch who would nip your finger if you got too close to his territory.

      We had over 20 at one time. We bought what were supposed to be a pair of females and then we caught them "at it"! Many babies followed! We just have the one now too.

        Wow! My cousins did something like that, she had a little dog called Fred, he escaped one day and came back as Freda.
        
        Two of the pups survived one was called Bubble one called Squeek. My auntie was cooking bubble and squeek at the time, Fred started to behave strangly then out popped bubble and squeek. We had Bubble, lovely little boarder collie who lived till he was about 14.

Awww--Johnny is lovely! What a sweet old gent. Bunny's make nice pets, my mini-lop, Allie, used to play with mum's cat.

Good luck with the job--always nice to get paid for doing something you enjoy, isn't it?

Love your bunny.

We used to have a black rabbit, who prefered to live down a hole, rather than in her hutch. We had our Lhasa Apso dog at the same time, he was terrified of the rabbit, she used to chase him round the yard, until he came to us begging to be "saved", once you put him down again, off they would both go again. At that time we lived in a flat over our shop, at the back was a car park and a gas board place. This place was fenced off, but our Blackie knew how to get in and out, I would have to go stand in the car park at night shouting, "Rabbit, Rabit, Come on Rabbit" and she would race me back into the yard. She did manage to come back pregnant, unkown to us, we were amazed one morning to see her come out of her hole, followed by nine little babies, they were so sweet, just little black pom-poms. We missed that rabbit when she died.
