morning!!! i love the second one, is that water and sand???
X-
- 30/10/09 @ 10:07:43
Morning - that's the pattern left in the sand after the tide has gone out. I'm facing along the beach, and each vertical line is a highpoint that waves got to as the tide receded.

Morning - it really does make you think. Attitude is so important in this short life we have.

Morning!
Both pics are eye catching. The bottom one looks like waves of gold. x-
- 30/10/09 @ 10:33:03
Waves of gold - I like that!
-
- 30/10/09 @ 10:55:16
It really does make you think, most of us spend far too much time looking down x
-
- 30/10/09 @ 11:27:57
There are beauties all around us if we choose to look for them.
-
- 30/10/09 @ 11:36:19
Very true, lots of buildings are far more interesting if you look at the tops of them - especially banks for some reason
-
- 30/10/09 @ 11:40:44
That's true about banks. I wonder why that is?
-
- 30/10/09 @ 12:17:58
I suspect they just buy the best buildings
-
- 30/10/09 @ 12:35:49
Hmm, which is a comment on how well off they are!
-
- 30/10/09 @ 12:48:22
Absolutely - there has just been a thing on the news here about the fact that irish banks own millions of pounds worth of artwork that the public don't even get to see!
-
- 30/10/09 @ 13:15:11
GRRRRR!!!

Lovely pictures, Tom! Profound, as usual....
Looking to see where you're going can keep you from stepping into some very unpleasant 'stuff'...
-
- 30/10/09 @ 11:28:22
Hehe - too true!

We did fall pretty lucky when we moved here (West coast of Wales).

I tend to look down when there are no stars, mainly to make sure I'm not treading in the mud.
-
- 30/10/09 @ 12:34:42
That's wisdom, knowing when to look up and when down!
-
- 30/10/09 @ 19:47:23
Lovely pictures! I love the second more!
-
- 31/10/09 @ 06:48:33
Thanks Helga.

Hi, i read this quote in a Readers Digest - but I never knew who wrote it. That thanks for that.
I like both of your photos.-
- 31/10/09 @ 06:48:55
I have no idea who he was though!
-
- 31/10/09 @ 17:09:33
Hi Tom, I googled him:
Re. Frederick Langbridge, English Poet and religeous writer. Born 1849 - 1923 in Birmingham of Irish Decent. Went to Merton College.
"Oh some seek bread - no more - life's mere subsistance
And some seek wealth and ease - the common quest.
And some seek fame, that hovers in the distance.
But all are seeking rest.
(Rest)
Two men looked out through the same prison bars:
One saw mud, and one saw stars"
(Sight)
Taken from "In a cluster of quiet thoughts" by the The Religeous Tract Society.
There is more "stuff" about him if you want to look.-
- 31/10/09 @ 20:58:03
Brilliant, thanks for looking that up!
-
- 30/10/09 @ 21:41:57
Really good quote and just love those pictures
-
- 31/10/09 @ 06:49:26
Thanks, it's up to each of us what we choose to look at and think.

I adore your quote. The second picture I used to see when I had my cottage on the ocean. Thanks for this morning's beauty!

This is the first time I've ever lived with a sea view and I love it!
