Morning! I'm with you, a bit of lens flare in the right place can enhance pictures. I have one more or less the same but without the flare and I don't think it's as effective. I've just been for a walk over there with my dog Dan and it was lovely!

I`m looking forward to cold frosty mornings now after seeing your pic - beats the cold damp darkness any day of the week

My dog walking just now was simply glorious. I like these winter mornings because you don't have to get up too early to catch the morning light. If this was June I'd have to have been up at 4AM to get a shot like this one!

Lovely pic, Tom! Winter's certainly very much in evidence...

-

It is, we had our first deep frost of the year this morning.

We await our first 'real' frost; been nippy but not cold, yet!

Is this frost rather than snow? Be grateful. We've had deep frost since late September. No snow on the ground today though as we have had a warming trend and it blissfully melted away!
I agree with the beauty of the sunflaring diffusing colors!-
- 10/11/09 @ 20:37:38
Yes, I'm pretty sure it is frost rather than snow. I don't think I'd like your winters!

Beautiful view to wake up to. And errrr, do you sleep with your beloved camera? hehehehehehe...not that it is my business.
Have a great day.-

I don't, but I'm thinking of starting :-)

Was very misty here too first thing...couldn't see the garage over the roofs of the houses today...about five minutes walk away...
Nice view to look at...

The mist only lifted at about midday!

The light is wonderful! Great pic! In Vienna it is very warm, about +10 C and the sun is shining. Crazy weather!
-
- 09/11/09 @ 14:10:40
It's only about 8C here, but the sun is shining and it feels nice :-)
-
- 09/11/09 @ 21:05:24
8 C is OK for November. I love the sun, it is important for our life!

Yeah, you are right!

It actually looks like a roasting hot day in Texas, the only thing that is missing are the oil drills...
-
- 09/11/09 @ 15:42:17
Thanks, that's interesting - I can only see it as cold.

Hi Tom, lovely picture, never mind the romatic misty stuff, I caught sight of the wind turbines on the top of the hill. They are definately making a "take over" bid!
-
- 09/11/09 @ 22:25:58
Thanks Marje, I'm glad someone spotted that - I was struggling to get the horses and the windmills in the shot together.
-
- 09/11/09 @ 22:32:25
I am a fan of the Wind Turbines, I love to see them. I must have an antennea that spots them!
I have been back to see the horses, they are hiding in the mist.
I have been having fun tonight, I seem to have blundered onto Facebook, I found my daughter on there, and now she told all her friends to be my friend - I have never had so many friends pinging in. It does not seem as user friendly as this site.-
- 09/11/09 @ 22:56:13
I never got on with Facebook at all. I think it has its uses, but I dont need anything it offers.
-
- 10/11/09 @ 15:33:32
I think I agree with you! But will humour the daughter a bit longer or, until I find out how to get rid of it!

Great Tom. I used to see these photography mags and competitions where sun spots flaring in the lens were considered as errors. Total bullshit!!! They can really make beautiful colours and when placed well they enhance the shot. Lovely photo Tom. Makes me want to be there.
